U.K.'s AITA Announces Agenda Items From Last Meeting

LONDON —  After its recent board meeting, the U.K.'s  Adult Industry Trade Association (AITA) announced some key issues it will be tackling.

One of those issues included a possible boycott of the newly created .XXX sTLD. The group said, ”There is a drive from other adult associations abroad for their members to boycott the newly created .XXX TLD.  An example of this can be found in the FSC 'Just Say No!' campaign. The AITA committee is looking into these objections to .XXX in its current form, before making it's stance.”

Noting changes in licensing laws that now classify gentleman's clubs as part of the adult industry, the association has invited club owners to join AITA.

AITA has also decided to bolster its media campaigns with more press releases and updates to better inform its members of topical issues.

The group also announced that Australian Sex Party President Fiona Patten is scheduled to be a guest speaker at its May 9 Sex and Politics event. The talk will be held at the University of London Union building on Malet Street, London, WC1E 7HY.

Members and non-members are welcome to attend from 7 p.m. on. For more details see AITA's Facebook page.

Finally, AITA has begun its new membership drive. To join AITA or renew email Michelle at admin@aita.co.uk.
