Playboy Poll: Americans Using Tech to Spice Up Sex

CHICAGO — Americans are using more tech for sex according to a new Playboy poll on mating habits in the digital age.

A feature in the June issue of the magazine cites an online survey conducted by Harris Interactive of 2,310 adults (1,210 men and 1,100 women) that reveals Americans are using their smartphones for sexting, watching online porn and are being photographed in the nude.

The survey discovered that 27 percent of men and 23 percent of women have been photographed or filmed nude — with 15 percent of men and 9 percent of women saying they’ve filmed themselves in sex acts.

Sexting was also popular, with 16 percent of the respondents reporting that they "sexted" someone on their phone with an explicit message or photo.

Another 44 percent of men and 36 percent of women said they have watched porn with a partner and 33 percent of men and 23 percent of women say they've used dating sites while still in a relationship.

The full survey results can be found here.
