Oktoberfest Gathering Named Official XBIZ EU After-Event

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce the eighth annual Oktoberfest Gathering as the official after-event for the 2011 XBIZ EU, the industry’s international leading digital media trade event set for Sept. 23-25 in London.

Immediately following XBIZ EU, the 8th Annual Oktoberfest Gathering is slated for Sept. 25-27 in Munich, Germany, and promises to continue the networking and brainstorming sessions, but in a light-hearted atmosphere where world-class food and drinks, as well as Bavarian costumes, make this B2B gathering a one-of-a-kind event.

“We look forward to attending the Oktoberfest Gathering again this year after XBIZ EU because it continues to be a conference where you either establish new contacts or reinforce existing ones during the glorious and extremely exciting Oktoberfest,” Hustler President Michael Klein said. “Clearly something that you should experience at least once in your lifetime and if can’t bond with your fellow adult companies during Oktoberfest than you should just forget about trying any place else.”

The Oktoberfest Gathering was founded in 2003 by Ed Kunkel and Benjamin Bayr.

“There is no better place [or more unique] for executive bonding and networking around — no other trade gathering experience where you will sit together with industry decision- makers for hours at one beer table sharing insights to the biz and learning about new opportunities,” Bayr said.

Bayr said Oktoberfest Gathering organizers will provide guests all the necessary services such as airport pick up, personal beer maidens, Bavarian food and all the beer participants can drink.

“This is one of the most intimate shows, small gathering, but get to spend time with attendees in a different setting and establish long lasting relationships, and most of all create new business opportunities,” said Harmik Gharapetian, vice president of sales and marketing for Epoch, which is among the Oktoberfest Gathering’s Corporate Sponsors. “The best part is after finishing the XBIZ show in London, many attendees are going to head to Munich for the official after party, which has grown every year since inception but yet still kept its character.”

Starting on Sunday, Sept. 25, registration begins at Fleming’s Hotel between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

After registration, SexSearch’s beer tent seating begins in the legendary Hofbrauhaus Festzelt.

On Monday, Sept. 26, participants can take part in Epoch’s beer tent seating and on Tuesday Sept. 27, XBIZ EU will host the final beer tent seating.

Transporation Sponsors include EPG Bill, Gamma Entertainment, EuroRevenue and Webbilling.
