Stable Entertainment Goes Gay Overseas

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Gay and bisexual production company Stable Entertainment announced Wednesday the creation of an international label to focus on shooting films in Europe.

The first film from the new label, called Stable International, is the gay film “He Always Gets What He Wants.” The movie, filmed entirely in the Czech Republic, stars Ricco Stone in his first adult film.

Stable Vice President Lori Deak said the second film slated for release on the international label, “Prague Rising,” should hit shelves by mid-year. Deak said the company’s push into the international arena was designed to expand Stable’s roster of talent and further grow its library.

“The point of going international was to expand retail opportunities,” Deak told XBiz. “We saw a growing interest in that particular type of content and we have some connections with some excellent directors there. It’s a country loaded with beautiful physical specimens and it’s a region that relates well to U.S. consumers.”

Deak said the company already had a deal with one director in the Czech Republic and would be expanding agreements with directors in other countries soon.

Stable already has made a name for itself with popular U.S. gay titles like “Late Nite Porn,” starring Grant Wood, and “The Servant,” starring Dean Phoenix. The company also has ventured into guy-guy-girl territory with its “Goosed” series of films: “Goosed,” Goosed Again” and “Goosed for 3.”

“[MMF] content is very difficult to find,” Deak said. “It’s really desirable stuff but also very rare.” Stable’s parent company, 3MD Productions, also owns Drive Productions, Anaconda Studios, 11EEE Productions, L.A. Heat Video and R.C. Men Productions.
