CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Dion Giarrusso, owner of Combat Zone, has launched a sister company called Filly Films that will produce lesbian-themed movies.
The first Filly Films title is called “P.S. I Love You” and will be released on Monday. Giarrusso said Filly Films will make both story-driven and all-sex movies utilizing a variety of directors that are both established and new.
The 14-year industry vet who has specialized in producing gonzo porn said he is entering the lesbian market because of the demand.
“I produce what people want to see," Giarrusso said. "It’s obvious that real lesbian stuff is what people want to see, and if I don’t know how to do it, I’ll find people that do.
"I want to see girls kissing — not lizard kissing. I want to see real orgasms, and girls having fun.”
Giarrusso plans to release two Filly Films titles per month. The next title is “Seduced by Mommy” (June 27), followed by “New Girls on the Block” (July 4), “Scent of a Woman” (July 18) and “Home Alone: A XXX Masturbation Movie” (Aug. 1).
Another movie currently in production is called “Lesbian Ass Worship,” which is being helmed by Dana Vespoli. Director Tom Moore, meanwhile, recently shot “Lesbian Cheerleaders” and “Locked Up” for Filly Films.
Giarrusso said he has also green-lighted a production that will be directed by Celeste Star, and he is in negotiations with a handful of other women to direct various Filly Films projects.
“P.S. I Love You” stars Ashlynn Leigh, Tristyn Kennedy, Arial Rose, Trinity St. Clair, Nikki Mae, Rylie Richman, Ella Milano and Holly Green. Juan Cuba helmed the debut title along with another title called “Spin the Bottle” that will be coming later this summer.
“I just know this is a hot niche,” Giarrusso said. “We’re emphasizing women who really want to be with women, so I’m looking for real lesbians. They can contact us.”
