NEW YORK — After four years reviewing sex toys and observing the industry’s trends, Fleshbot Editor Lux Alptraum is extending her consulting services to sex toy companies.
Fleshbot is an adult blog published by Gawker Media launched in November 2003, covering both heterosexual and homosexual erotica. In her capacity as a sex toy reviewer for Fleshbot, Alptraum's had firsthand user experience with all the industry's top line toys, she says.
Having been solicited for her expertise surrounding the designing, marketing and user experience of numerous toys from top sex toy companies around the world, Alptraum says she's now looking to bring her knowledge and expertise to sex toy manufacturers.
According to her press release, Alptraum’s expertise ranges from the designing of products, including high-end sex toys, to their successful viral marketing.
Alptraum is a writer and sex educator; and founded ThatStrangeGirl, an alternative porn site, and Boinkology, a blog about sex and culture. She has spoken about sexuality, sex toys, the Internet, and adult entertainment at Harvard University, Brown University, Yale University, NYU, Columbia University, Ohio State University, SXSW and New York City’s Museum of Sex.
