HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Fairvilla Megastore swept the three top honors in the Sex in the Shower in-store display contest with the Orlando location finishing in first place, Cape Canaveral in second and Key West in third.
Hot on the heels of Fairvilla Key West and finishing in fourth place was Déjà Vu Adult Emporium in Las Vegas. In its first-ever retail display contest, Sportsheets International challenged retailers to put their best display forward by awarding $5,000 in cash and $5,000 in product prizes to retailers showcasing Sex in the Shower displays in April and May.
By taking the top three places, Fairvilla receives $4500 ($2,000 for first; $1,500 for second; $1,000 for third place) in cash and Déjà Vu Adult Emporium receives $500 in cash.
“Our first-ever display contest was met with incredible ambition from retailers across the country,” said Todd Carter, sportsheets director of marketing. “The personality and creativity of each retail staff is overwhelmingly evident in each display and it was so exciting to see so many original ideas conceived and executed for the contest.”
The remaining finalists received $500 in Sex in the Shower merchandise and those include: Adam&Eve — Seekonk, Miss.; Lion’s Den — Sawyer, Miss.; Lion’s Den — Van Buren, Ohio; Lion’s Den — Pierce, Fla.; Lion’s Den — Abilene, Kan.; Lion’s Den — Ripley, NY and Lion’s Den — Uptown, Ky.
