Adam & Eve Posts Strong 2nd Quarter Sales, Profits

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Adam & Eve announced today increases in sales and profits for the second quarter of 2011.

The company said its shift from traditional to online marketing has contributed to a 5.5 percent increase in sales and a 24 percent spike in profits over second quarter 2010.

“We are extraordinarily pleased with the second quarter 2011 results,” said Chad Davis, director of marketing. “The evolutionary changes we have gone through in the last two to three years have certainly contributed to these increases… We haven’t seen profits so high since 2009.”

Davis attributes much of these increases to success with paid search results, marketing through podcasts, social marketing and new advertising opportunities.

“Some of the new marketing areas have been more efficient than direct mail marketing. The shift in the marketing channels away from direct mail has impacted our profit,” Davis said.

He added, “The huge variety of quality adult oriented products, as well as the ease and anonymity offered through ordering from AdamAndEve.com continues to be one of the reasons we remain successful.”

Adam & Eve's policy is not to release actual dollar amounts.
