Starring Tera Patrick, the 30-second spots promote the convenience of renting adult DVDs from SugarDVD via the U.S. mail and will air over the next few weeks on MTV, VH1, BET, Spike and E!
SugarDVD CEO Jax said the ad is a bold move for an adult company in that it will be broadcast on cable channels historically reserved for nonadult entertainment topics, adding that he expects a big payoff for the high production costs.
“We’ve moved so fast in building SugarDVD that we thought it was time to take this directly to those at home who have an interest in being entertained by all types of products, including adult movies," Jax said. "We picked these popular television channels because they cater to our audience and the message is instantaneous."
The 30-second spots showcase Patrick as she touts the benefits of renting adult DVDs from SugarDVD.
“That’s why we had Tera do these commercials," Jax said, "because not only is she one of the industry’s all-time greatest superstars, she has an elegance, beauty and charm about her that makes her the perfect spokesperson for SugarDVD."
MTV will be the first to air the spots, followed by BET, Spike, VH1 and E!
