NEW YORK — ABCNews.com reported on the Free Speech Coalition’s launch of its Adult Production Health and Safety Services program.
The report interviewed various supporters of the program including adult industry stakeholders, performers and producers as well as critics like AIDS Healthcare Foundation President Michael Weinstein.
“In the past week, we've received coverage from L.A. Times, LA Weekly, UPI, Telemundo and now, ABC News,” said Joanne Cachapero, FSC’s membership director.
“Industry health and safety has become a controversial topic in the media and most of the discussion has been coming from industry critics, like AHF and other anti-adult activist groups. It's great to have an opportunity for industry members like Christian Mann, Bobbi Starr and Nina Hartley to tell their side of the story, and start to debunk the misinformation and stereotypes that are used against the industry by our opponents.”
The article said that adult performers feel the database gives them the information they need to stay safe and protect themselves while at work.
