XRCO Awards Adds New Comic Book Character Parody Category

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. —  The X-Rated Critic's Organization (XRCO) announced today the addition of a new category, Best Parody: Comic (comic book character) to its list of 2011 annual awards.

The organization said that throughout the years it has changed or added categories to stay fresh and reflect shifts in the adult film industry and recognize new genres of adult entertainment.

The new addition was added to recognize what XRCO feels is the industry's fastest going sub-genre, the comic book/super hero inspired adult parody and will stand with other parody categories that award both comedic and dramatic excellence.

"With the number of high end comic book themed parodies being released we knew we had to add this new category," XRCO's Dirty Bob said.

He added, "These parodies are unique and it is time to recognize them apart from the best comedy and best drama parody awards. As a long time comic book collector, I look forward to seeing all of the entries in this new award category."

The new Best Parody: Comic will be added to the 2011 XRCO Awards and the first Heart-On trophy for this category will be given out in spring of 2012 at the 28th annual XRCO Awards Show.
