VCA Leads List of Jane Magazine DVD Picks for Women

NEW YORK — Women’s magazine Jane is sexing up its latest issue. Sandwiched between celebrity gossip and fashion tips, the editors have selected nine “must-have” adult DVDs for female readers looking to spice up their sex lives, with VCA Pictures earning two entries and a few other familiar names making the cut.

The article, on page 142, gives women the “low down” on how to build their sexual library with quality porn, erotica and the best toys in order to achieve the perfect orgasm.

VCA Pictures leads the list with No. 1 pick “Art School Sluts” as well as No. 4 pick “The Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann,” a 1974 classic that the magazine calls “stylish and elegant.”

“The Jane article really brings VCA full circle from its classic roots to its resurgence as the alt-porn leader,” Peter Reynolds, president of VCA sales, said. “Not only do they rave about one of our classic VCA titles, but they’ve deemed one of our new alt-porn titles an instant classic.”

Other titles making Jane’s list are:

  • “Jenna Jameson is The Masseuse” from Club Jenna and Vivid Entertainment, which the magazine describes as having “a good plot” that is “believable and well told.”
  • John Leslie’s “Voyeur” series from Evil Angel
  • Red Light District’s “1 Night in Paris”
  • “Alice in Wonderland,” XTV’s 1976 hardcore musical, which Jane calls “shockingly well made”
  • “Erocktavision 3: Sapphic Desires” from Dana Dane Productions
  • Cult Epics’ “Vintage Erotica Collection”
  • “Marie & Jack: A Hardcore Love Story” from Comstock Films
  • In addition to DVDs, the article also recommends its top five sex toys for women: the Vibratex Rabbit, Hitachi Magic Wand, Eroscillator, Candida Royalle’s Uttime Royalle and Stubbies Nubby G.
