SAN DIEGO — Alpha Omega has finalized a deal to distribute several new gay lines, giving the growing distributor a total of 11 studios in its portfolio, nine of which are exclusive.
The San Diego-based company this week began shipping new titles for XY Studios, Man’s Art, Latbocon Entertainment, Berlin Star Film, Latino Boys, Skater Boys and Street Boys.
Latbocon features Latin twink performers, while Berlin Star produces edgy, fetish-driven hardcore content with masculine performers.
Alpha Omega president Sam Manning said that his longtime associate Renee Volinski, who heads XY, helped him close the Latbocon and Berlin Star deals because Volinski already distributes their product in Europe.
“So it was kind of just a bulk package in working with XY that all the studios came at once,” Manning told XBIZ. “I just took the shipment of 20,000 DVDs, so we’ve got a lot of organizing and inventory to do.”
Alpha Omega, a two-year-old company whose flagship line is Cadinot USA, recently relocated its headquarters from L.A. to San Diego. The company also distributes Matt Sterling, Michael Steel Productions and Hornet, with plans to add fetish producer SPG Pictures to the lineup.
Manning is an industry vet who has produced, directed and owned several other companies including Boiling Point Films, Bronco and Teppo Sesso. He began his career in adult in the ’90s as talent.
“The strategy from my perspective is a lot of customers prefer one-stop shopping and don’t want to have to write any more checks than they have to,” Manning said. “So we specialize in gay and fetish genres and have a one-stop shop of quality films and also a variance in our price range as well.
“I want to offer my customers as many lines as possible.”
