Wicked Debuts Trailer for Sam Hain's 'Horizon'

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures, the 2011 XBIZ Feature Studio of the Year, announced the debut of the trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller "Horizon" from director Sam Hain.

"Horizon" stars Wicked Girls Jessica Drake, Kaylani Lei, Alektra Blue and a host of other A-list performers.

The trailer and an on-set interview with Drake can be seen on the company's YouTube channel here.

Additional clips featuring Q&A sessions with co-stars Kimberly Kane and Lei will be posted in the days and weeks leading up to the movie's release on Sept. 28.

The ambitious production was shot with the new Red Epic camera system, a creative decision that director Hain feels was critical to perfecting the production's unique visual aesthetic.

"We used the Red Epic because we wanted to make the most cinematic adult film ever produced," Hain said. "Not only does the sensor give you an image quality comparable to 35mm film, but when combined with the Zeiss Master Prime lenses, we were able to shoot in extremely low light setups that give the film a look never before seen in an adult release."

Hain, who earned critical acclaim for his "Sex Files" parodies for Revolution X/Digital Sin, said he was thrilled to have completed his first original film for Wicked.

"At the end of the day, I'm confident that when you watch 'Horizon' you'll feel as though you're enjoying a high quality mainstream production," Hain said.

A high-tech step into the year 2085, Horizon unfolds as a civilization of extraterrestrial origin has invaded Earth. Of the planet's nine billion inhabitants, approximately one third have been killed and nearly two billion more have been evacuated to a military base dug into the core of Mercury. Of the four billion humans who remain on Earth, none are expected to survive beyond the next 48 hours.

Taking a last stand against the alien onslaught, one Marine battalion remains on the surface. But they are in retreat, desperately attempting to reach the safety of the space cruiser Horizon, when events occur which place the future of the Earth and all of its remaining inhabitants in peril.

The cast also includes performances by Bobbi Starr, Misty Stone, Aiden Starr, Rocco Reed, Bill Bailey, Tony De Sergio, Xander Corvus and Danny Mountain.
