Whipsmart Hits Shelves

CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Introducing an S&M starter kit for couples, Whipsmart made its distribution debut this week through Adventure LLC – best known for softcore toys for couples – with a “gateway” line of toys geared toward introducing couples to S&M without some of the hardcore elements it can often be associated with.

In announcing its Whipsmart rollout, Adventure cited the results of a recent poll in which all of the respondents who were in a sexually active relationship admitted to only minimal use of sex toy sexual enhancements.

“Whipsmart’s new product line is specifically designed to reach out to couples who are interested, yet turned off by more explicit bondage items often associated with sexual enhancement products,” a company representative said. “Whipsmart believes all couples can benefit from enhanced sexual experiences and some of its products have already made appearances on premium network sitcoms.”

According to the company, Whipsmart’s products are all boxed in mainstream consumer-friendly packaging with no nudity, encouraging the curious to try what they’ve often thought about buying.

The Whipsmart collection includes blindfolds, soft cuffs, pleasure slings, door swings and the ultimate swing tree.

Whipsmart also produces an instructional video that provides a step-by-step guide to S&M.

Sex toy pioneer Good Vibrations has lauded the video as being “informative” and that it offers “clear instruction on the terminology, tools, and techniques of this kind of sex play.”
