Vicious to Distribute Tee Reel Titles

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Performer/director Tee Reel has signed a one-year distribution agreement with Vicious Media Inc.

Under the agreement, Reel will direct and produce a minimum of 12 titles for Vicious in 2006, with a renewal option for 2007. His first title for Vicious will be “Real Interracial Vol. 1,” scheduled for May release. He also plans lesbian, blowjob and hip-hop themed lines.

Reel, who holds a bachelor’s degree in film studies from Columbia College, directed several hip-hop music videos before entering the adult entertainment industry in 2004 through World Modeling Agency and signing as a contract performer for Red Light District.

He directed his first movie in 2005, forming his own production company, T-Real Entertainment, which includes DVDs, a member website and a line of T-shirts.

Reel said an important component of the deal was a guarantee of total creative control over his projects.

“I wanted to be with a company that would allow me to use my own ideas to improve production value,” Reel said. “This is one of the few companies in the adult industry that is supportive in both my mainstream and adult ventures. The new hip-hop generation is looking for adult movies that are made for and by someone who really knows what they want. I’ll be directing movies with a style that will really reach out to them and Vicious supports my vision.”

Vicious Media Marketing Director Fletch said it was Reel’s fresh approach to adult film that prompted the company to offer him a deal.

“Tee Reel has an excellent handle on what the market wants today,” Fletch said. “He inhabits the hip-hop culture and is the voice of the new generation. It’s rare that you find someone who is such an undeniable talent in so many facets, not only as a premiere young performer and director but producer and self-marketer as well.”

Fletch added that Vicious will continue to look for directors who, like Reel, are able to generate buzz in mainstream media. Reel’s movies often feature cameo appearances by well-known and rising rap artists.

“Getting mainstream media coverage is how you make money in an over-saturated adult marketplace,” he said.
