Glow Industries Rolls Out New Infomercial Series

TOLEDO, Ohio — Glow Industries is producing a new collection of educational videos designed to better inform consumers and retail managers about the company’s 350-page catalog of sex toys, glassware, and smoke and lifestyle accessories.

Glow representatives say they developed an infomercial video format to answer some of the common questions they field each day via social media or telephone communications.

The result is a set of infomercials that act as an interactive marketing platform for new and existing products and benefit shoppers and retail store operators alike.

“These videos are popular online with consumers — we can tell by the comments we see — but we’ve found our retailers are using them in their stores to help educate their employees and inform their customers,” Glow sales representative Mike Sessoms said. “We’ve got almost 12,220 total views for all of our videos and the number is rising.”

The company hopes to release a video at least once a month with product information ranging from how-to-use tips to suggestions for displaying and upselling.

“We’ve had great feedback from our retailers and have seen business come in directly as a result of video views,” Glow sales representative Heather Leffel said. “My customers have said that they love the videos and learn a lot from them, which often helps them make their final purchase decisions. We have plenty of ideas for more, but we’d love feedback from our colleagues. After all, the whole point is for us to grow together.”

The company said the goal is to create a following, and in the meantime any retailers in contact the team can request a copy of any clip they might want to use in their stores.

Products with infomercial content already available include Glow’s line of Glass Indulgence borosilicate glass sex toys, and smoke/tobacco accessories from brands such as Randy’s Green & Black Label, Ultimate Gold Detox, Viva La Vapes, and Metro Electronic Cigarettes.
