Prince Yahshua Lands 2 XBIZ Award Nominations

LOS ANGELES — Porn’s "Black Assassin" Prince Yahshua has been nominated for two 2012 XBIZ Awards in two prestigious categories: Male Performer of the Year and Performer Comeback of the Year.

“I’d like to thank everyone at XBIZ for the honor of these nominations, it’s great to be recognized and back to doing what I love," Yahshua said.

Such recognition would be an honor for any performer, but Yahshua’s long journey to the top is even more miraculous considering the hurdles he has overcome. Yahshua made headlines last year when a freak on-set accident threatened to end his career: he suffered a torn urethra (colloquially known as a “broken penis”) and was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

With a grim outlook, the veteran performer weathered a long and painful recovery with grace and perseverance. Once everything healed and he was cleared by his doctors, he returned to doing scenes.

Last week he also launched his own membership site, PrinceYahshua.com. The nominations top off a successful year for the performer who won his second straight Male Performer of the Year honor at the 2011 Urban X Awards in July.

Yahshua’s production company Silverback Entertainment Inc. also signed a distribution deal with Black Market Entertainment.

Yahshua next stars in "Interracial Heaven" for Silverback Entertainment, which streets this week.

The release will feature Yahshua with Kendra Fierce, Envy Me, Austin Taylor, Kaylina Rose, and Aubrey Dey. His other recent releases include "Cougars Take It Black" for Wicked Pictures, "Super Anal Cougars Part One" and "Hitchhikers 2" for West Coast Productions, and "The Black Out 2" for Silverback Entertainment.

The 10th annual XBIZ Awards, presented by MyFreeCams.com, will be held on Jan. 10, 2012 in Hollywood.
