CHATSWORTH, Calif. — DreamZone Entertainment has announced the launch of the official website for director Lee Roy Myers’ upcoming “Romeo & Juliet” parody at https://www.romeoandjulietxxx.com.
DreamZone said the site features "a classy design and smooth, easy navigation" with an extensive photo gallery, synopsis, cast info, links to media coverage, and a teaser trailer.
Starring Rocco Reed and Chanel Preston, both 2012 nominess for XBIZ Male and Female Performer of the Year, this re-interpretation of the classic tragedy is slated for release on Feb. 7, 2012.
“'Romeo & Juliet' is a flagship release for DreamZone, and this new dedicated website will be the hub for an extensive publicity campaign leading up to the movie’s release in February,” said DreamZone sales VP Adam Hasner. “Based on the pre-release exposure we’ve received from the mainstream media thus far, we fully expect 'Romeo & Juliet' to break through the traditional barriers between adult and mainstream movies. It’s a very unique project with major production values and strong couples’ appeal.
"No other adult studio has produced anything like this movie, and we’ve seen an immediate rush of interest from press and consumers alike. This website is designed to maximize exposure as we continue to aggressively promote 'Romeo & Juliet' to a broad and open-minded audience looking for an adult movie that is both romantic and sexually explicit.”
DreamZone scored a publicity coup when the first photos from the movies appeared as a 48-hour exclusive on the irreverent mainstream movie site, FilmDrunk.com. The unusual behind-the-scenes story of a real-life, on-set romance between Reed and Preston enhanced the buzz. The movie’s Feb. 7 release date is strategically placed to deliver the DVD just in time for Valentine’s Day.
“Rocco and I knew each other, and we’d even appeared in some of the same movies, but we never worked together directly until this movie,” Preston said. “From our first conversation on the set, we both felt a connection, and when we finally did our sex scene together, it was amazing! It was more than just a performance.”
Myers, the 2011 XBIZ Director of the Year - Body of Work, said, “DreamZone’s 'Romeo and Juliet' is the most unique, passionate and exciting movie of my career. It’s a contemporary take on Shakespeare that includes all of the sex deemed too steamy for conventional adaptations of the play. I was thrilled to shoot this erotic romance for DreamZone. I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished with this version of 'Romeo and Juliet,' and I’m confident that this movie is going to find a big audience, way beyond the usual numbers for an adult release.”
Lady Capulet is played by India Summer and Romeo’s ex Rosalyn by Andy San Dimas. Anthony Rosano plays the antagonistic Tybalt. The supporting cast includes Tom Byron as the patriarch Capulet, Brian Street Team as Romeo’s loyal friend Benvolio, and Ann Marie Rios as Polly, a thoroughly new take on Juliet’s attendant (and lover).
