LOS ANGELES — Fourteen porn BitTorrent suits have been waged around the U.S. in the past seven days naming 128 John Doe defendants.
Ten of the copyright infringement suits, which all seek to order ISPs disclose user identities, were filed in Michigan, targeting those who traded content within the state. Four others were filed in Florida.
Elegant Angel led the litigating pack with four suits targeting 53, including one suit that aimed at 30 Does for poaching and steaming "Hard Bodies," a movie released by the studio in August that included performances by adult stars Kristina Rose, Asa Akira and Nacho Vidal.
K-Beech Inc. filed two suits targeting 40, Nucorp Ltd. filed two suits against 25, Raw Films Ltd. had two suits naming six Does and Pink Lotus Entertainment filed four single suits, all against Does who allegedly traded content in Florida.
