Adonis Pictures Signs Damon Phoenix

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Adonis Pictures, which recently received five nominations at the 2006 Grabby Awards, has signed bubble-butted newcomer Damon Phoenix to an exclusive contract.

"The decision to make Damon our second exclusive was an easy one," Adonis Vice President Jeremy Spencer said. "He's got a great man-boy appeal. He is also a total sweetheart on and off set — really easy to work with. His energy and excitement are contagious."

A recent Seattle transplant, 21-year-old Phoenix was introduced to Adonis by photographer Mick Hicks when another cast member fell out of “Inn Over His Head.” Phoenix stepped in at the 11th hour. He recently completed his 2nd film with Adonis, Chad Donovan's “The Works,” which pairs him with Ben Campezi. He also will be featured in Mike Donner's upcoming priest movie, which starts shooting in May.

Although he's done a few films for other reputable companies such as Rascal, Falcon and Studio 2000, Phoenix explained why he chose Adonis to be exclusive with: "I chose Adonis because I felt like I was part of the family with them. It's the perfect place for me to call home."

Adonis' first (and still current) exclusive Andy Kirra has completed his first year in the industry, having received both Grabby and GayVN nominations as Best Newcomer. He also was named as one of Unzipped magazine's Top 25 New Faces to watch in 2006.

"I'm extremely proud of the two boys we have now," Spencer said. "I think they compliment each other nicely and am really excited about the upcoming projects for both."
