Shunga Erotic Art Recaps 2011

MONTREAL, Canada — Shunga Erotic Art has tallied its highlights of 2011, which new product releases, awards and nominations, and growth in the U.S.

In 2011, Shunga released Oriental Crystals bath salts in lotus flower, the Hold Me Tight vaginal tightening gel and a special product available exclusively at Lover’s Lane, the Colors of Passion body painting kit, which includes a glass dildo paintbrush.

This year Shunga revved up its social media and marketing presence with the launch of its Facebook and Twitter accounts.

“Shunga also gained a very sexy celebrity fan: burlesque star Dita Von Teese. Dita personally accepted and thanked Shunga for an ‘amazing box of sensuality,’” the company said.

Shunga’s latest product, the Hold me tight vaginal tightening gel was awarded Best Female Product at the EroFame show in Germany in October. In addition to the Erotixxx Award, Shunga Erotic Art was named Stimulant/Lubricant Company of the Year at the 2011 XBIZ Awards show in February in Los Angeles.

“Shunga has always been famous for its full range of high-quality stimulants and sensual products and has forged itself a strong reputation over the years,” said Angela Mustone, director of market development for Shunga. “In 2011, we restructured our distribution network in the United States, and this explains in part why our brand is constantly growing in the United States.”

Shunga Erotic Art will be exhibiting at the upcoming ANME Founders Show as well as the XBIZ Retail Show in January in Burbank, Calif.

Shunga products are now available from Holiday Products, Williams Trading, Komar Company, SLS Specialty and Universal Distributors.
