Maleflixxx Announces Erotic Music Videos

TORONTO, Canada — Taking a page from MTV, Maleflixxx has launched a new brand of gay adult entertainment, the erotic music video.

Erotic music videos, or EMVs, will appear exclusively on Maleflixxx’s EMVchannel.

According to Eric Johnson, president of Sureflix Digital Distribution, which owns Maleflixxx, EMVs blend erotic imagery with music to appeal to a certain segment of the gay market.

“As Maleflixxx expands, we are continually looking for new and unique offerings to include in our network,” Johnson said.

The videos feature nude male models moving to what has been described as “steamy, sensual” music.

To create EMV content, Maleflixxx has teamed with Fox Studio, which has supplied images and clips from its library, along with music from groups like “Rock Hard,” “Ram Fist Studios” and “Skin Tunes.”

Thor Stephans, who developed EMVs believes that the medium is well placed to take advantage of technologies like video-on-demand, streaming and PodCasting.

“I developed this idea years ago when I first began directing gay adult features,” Stephans said. “I thought it was a waste that so much great footage never made the final cut in each feature and the music was only used once. Being a lover of music videos, I came up with the Erotic Music Video. The perfect marriage [of technology and content] arrived with the DVD format on which Erotic Music Videos made a natural extra. Now, the biggest platform will be online streaming and iPod downloads.”
