SACRAMENTO — Shinefish Films has been tapped by the Belgian techno band Lords of Acid to shoot the music video for the first single from the band's new album Deep Chills titled “Pop That Tooshie.”
Porn performer Alana Evans has also made her professional singing debut and is the lead vocalist on this track. “Pop That Tooshie” was written by Praga Khan and produced by Chris Vrenna, the former drummer of Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson.
“I was really honored to be asked to produce, direct and edit this music video for Lords of Acid,” music producer Bob Sherman said. “Having spent years in the music business in the '90s, it’s very cool to be back in the mix of it again. I’m looking forward to directing two different versions of this awesome track, one of which will be very much adult in nature.”
Lords of Acid burst upon the club scene in 1988 with explosive dance tracks. In the early '90s Lords of Acid released two albums titled “Lust” and “Voodoo U” which sold more than half a million albums each.
“I am very pleased to be working with this legendary band and am looking forward to doing even more work with them in the future as well," said Anjanette Astoria, CEO of Shinefish Entertainment.
"This fits beautifully with our company strategy reaching into mainstream markets. Alana Evans did a great job with her vocals and I’m looking forward to getting crazy with her and many others in this music video.”
The street date for Deep Chills is April 10.
