SugarDVD Expands Roku, PS3 TV Streaming Network

LOS ANGELES — SugarDVD announced today that it has expanded its TV streaming delivery network with server points in a number of new cities.

The added points include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Phoenix, Seattle, Washington D.C., and Toronto.

In addition to more locations, the company said its bandwidth now incorporates intelligent route control technology to make the service run up to four times faster.

As a result of the changes, customers will experience less buffering time and be able to fast-forward through movies quicker using their PS3 or Roku.

"One of the best things about this service is the immediacy of having hundreds of full-length movies ready to go on your TV. By expanding our server network, our customers will be able to find things they like quicker than ever," said spokespersonRebecca.

Unlimited TV streaming on Roku and PS3 is included with all of SugarDVD's DVD rental plans at no additional cost.

An unlimited streaming only plan is also available for $7.95 a month, along with a 10-day free trial is for new customers.

SugarDVD offers TV apps for Roku, Playstation3, Boxee, and Google TV devices.

To help promote its PS3 app the site is running a Cosplay Giveaway with performers Misti Dawn and Aria Aspen where gamers vote on the what they want to see the stars wear.

Three photo sets of the girls dressed as game vixens, and behind the scenes videos have been posted on the Giveaway site. The contest will conclude on March 30 with a Playstation 3D display prize.
