Spring International Lingerie Show Wraps

LAS VEGAS – The spring edition of the International Lingerie Show came to a close today giving attendees to squeeze in last-minute networking and business.

XGEN Products revealed its new Hollywood Curves line of fashion fixes and body enhancers at ILS alongside the brand’s vice president and Miss June 2003 Playboy Playmate Tailor James.

XGEN Products Vice President Andy Green said Hollywood Curves was well received among buyers. “We got good feedback on the packaging and people were impressed with the quality and price points. Some even said that the collection is too inexpensive for such high quality.”

According to Green, Hollywood Curves will be available by July.

“ILS was really busy and we got a lot of order written right her at the show,” Green said. “I noticed a bigger international presence this time and an overall positivity among buyers. We made deals for U.K., Spain, France and Italy distribution for the Lapdance line.”

Eurotique presented its latest reinvention of the corset with samples of new nightclub uniform styles.

“Two years ago local clubs began approaching Eurotique and purchasing corsets at retail prices. So it opened us up to a niche that’s not being catered to and now bars and clubs can buy them at wholesale prices.”

The company’s new bar line features styles with stretchy straps to fit women of different sizes as well as easy to clean corsets made of PVC. Eurotique also released what Erica Meyer, Eurotique's wholesale director, described as its version of Victoria’s Secret “Million Dollar Bra” – corsets with designs featuring hundreds of Swarovski Crystals. According to Meyer, the item can be beneficial to retailers as a window display item for a “show-stopping” response.

“The show was fantastic from the start,” Eurotique owner Peter Grieco said. “We were busy the whole time and even had to have our model Christa take orders.”

Rene Rofe showcased a new booth at ILS along with new products, including its Pink Lipstick collection.

“Our new booth has two times the interior space that it used to so it’s a lot easier to meet with clients,” Rene Rofe’s Wilson Kello said. “Our new Pink Lipstick line is flying off the shelves due to its great margin. This has been the best ILS in years – we even got business based on the fashion show.”

The next edition of ILS is slated for Sept. 10-12.
