The owner of VCA, part of the LFP Empire, Larry Flynt recognized the marketing potential MySpace.com has. The online community features many adult industry performers personal profiles.
“MySpace is the forum for a new generation of artist, offering a true independent outlet,” Flynt said. “It is my great pleasure to recognize a community promoting artists and their right to freedom of expression. I am happy to give further exposure through LFP’s immense distribution channels.”
Director Ron Royster initiated the musical search by listening to hundreds of bands before he found the right musical accompaniment that fit the mood and the feel of his movie.
“I am more proud of ‘Atomic Vixens’ and its soundtrack than anything else in my adult career,” Royster said. “It took five straight weeks of listening to hundreds of bands, and finding 30 perfect songs, all from unsigned brilliant musicians.”
“Atomic Vixens” is a futuristic tale featuring eight starlets with seductive superpowers that attempt to save the world from evildoers.
“I loved working on this movie and my on-set experience was really cool,” one of the film’s stars Ashley Steel told XBIZ. “I’m a big MySpace addict and I’ve heard a lot of really good and talented unsigned bands through the site. I think it’s really innovative for VCA to release a soundtrack with bands from MySpace. They deserve the recognition.”
Featured artists include Punk Bunny, Vagabond, Chocolate Eargasms, Dancin' Shoes, Sixgun, Dead Sexy, The Shifters and G-Spot Tornado.
“VCA is raising the bar in adult films by combining cool music with cutting edge films, VCA’s Vice President of sales and marketing Peter Reynolds told XBIZ. “Today’s adult audience is much more savvy than ever before and VCA is tapping into that [by using MySpace.]”
