LOS ANGELES — The first music review from Penthouse Pet Tasha Reign is now available on RockConfidential.com.
In her weekly column, “The World’s Hottest Music Critic”, Tasha reviews “You’re a Lie” by Slash. The review appears in print and as a vlog (video blog), while the text will be published online and in Rock Confidential’s quarterly magazine.
“Tasha Reign slithers around like one of Slash's snakes in her first video review for ‘You're A Lie,’ the first single off the legendary guitarist's upcoming solo album," Rock Confidential editor Jesse Capps said.
"She oozes all kinds of sexy and demands the viewer's attention from the start. You will have to watch it more than once because she's so mesmerizing, you may just forget to pay attention to what she's saying!”
“You’re a Lie” is the first single off Slash’s upcoming album, Apocalyptic Love. Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge) lends vocals to the track from the former lead guitar player for Guns N’ Roses.
Also joining Slash are Bobby Schneck (Weezer, Green Day) on rhythm guitar, Todd “Dammit” Kerns (The Sin City Sinners, Age of Electric) on bass, and Brent Fitz (Alice Cooper, Vince Neil) on drums.
Reign calls Slash’s guitar licks “magical.”
“This song is edgier and more intense than anything I’ve experienced from Slash,” she said.
“Each time I listened to the song, I took away something new. I could practically feel and see Slash when listening to the song, and it made me a little horny. Slash brought together a great group of musicians to back him, and the chemistry is undeniable as they create the perfect mix of heavy metal and blues in a song about betrayal. One of my favorite hits in 2012!
“While I wouldn’t necessarily play this song when feature dancing on stage in a gentlemen’s club, I would definitely use it to give someone a filthy lap dance.”
