Dickmans Design, Cofounder Bruno Part Ways

SAO PAULO, Brazil — Twelve years after co-founding Dickmans Design, company CEO Bruno has announced his departure from the XBIZ awarding-winning design studio, and the start of his own consulting business as “Just Bruno.”

“I'm both sad and happy to leave,” Bruno told XBIZ. “The history of the company and mine are hard to dissociate, as I lived and breathed it for long hours and for most days of my life. I learned a lot, from practice, mistakes and insightful peers. It gave me the structure to be able to create a mainstream operation (that I also left) and if I can be proud of who I am and what I have achieved so far, it was mostly because of Dickmans.

“I'm honored for having worked with over 120 people over 12 years. These people were not only fantastic professionals, but incredibly aligned family members. All of this makes me sad to leave, but I'm happy too, mostly because now my possibilities are endless. We live in a world where office space, national boundaries and standard corporate hierarchy are being replaced by a mobile and flexible lifestyle, where the ‘big idea’ is the boss.”

Although having sold his portion of the company to Dickmans Design co-founder and chief creative Mike Dickman, Bruno says he will continue to support the team in his new endeavors as “Just Bruno.”

“Just Bruno” consulting services include product development ranging from conceptualization, feature planning, monetization strategy and user experience; conversion/retention optimization and acting as a planning unit and bridge between companies and design teams.

“I'm still connected to Dickmans and highly recommend their services, but I'm not exclusively tied to them,” Bruno said. “My services will be provided to both adult, hybrid and mainstream companies.”

Though bittersweet, Bruno says he’s optimistic about the new opportunities that the future holds.

“I'm looking forward to collaborate with companies, teams and individuals worldwide in a range of projects,” he said. “I'm ready to help folks reach higher and looking forward to expand my own world — so life's great right now!”

"Just Bruno" will be attending next month's XBIZ Summit, set for May 15-18, in South Beach, Miami.
