Sportsheets Announces Nationwide 'Shades of Sex & Mischief' Promo

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Sportsheets has announced a nationwide promotional campaign inspired by the breakout popularity of the literary trilogy "Fifty Shades of Grey" and the impact the BDSM-based erotic novel has had on adult product sales.

Minimum wholesale orders will come accompanied by a custom kit to help retailers promote Sportsheets' Sex & Mischief collection.

"Customers have been calling us daily, asking for our products that are similar to the products the characters in the books are using," Sportsheets Vice President Julie Stewart said. "Customers have commented that even the black, white and gray cover of the book complement Sex & Mischief's black-and-white packaging. We love 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and we love that people, especially women, are talking about bondage in a whole new way."

Sportsheets customers who place orders through their favorite distributors can receive promotional packages with free Sex & Mischief merchandise. Until May 21, all minimum Sex & Mischief orders placed with distributor Honey's Place will receive these exciting kits. Following May 21, the promotion will extend to all qualified Sportsheets distributors in the adult space and will last until June 15 or while supplies last.

"The Sex & Mischief line, similarly to the book, redefines BDSM and takes the fantasy mainstream," Sportsheets President Tom Stewart said.

Wholesale orders of more than $250 will come with a Sex & Mischief promotional pack with more than $50 in free goods and merchandise, including a free Sex & Mischief T-shirt; free Sex & Mischief cloth bag; free Sex & Mischief blindfold; free Sex & Mischief rope flogger; free Sex & Mischief bondage tape; and free Sex & Mischief pens, posters and bracelets.

Wholesale orders of more than $500 will come with a Sex & Mischief promotional pack with more than $100 in free goods and merchandise, including a free Sex & Mischief T-shirt; free Sex & Mischief cloth bag; three free Sex & Mischief blindfolds; two free Sex & Mischief rope floggers; two free rolls of Sex & Mischief bondage tape; and free Sex & Mischief pens, posters and bracelets.

"These books have caused an explosion in the mainstream world," Honey's Place's Laura Sweet said. "Women are going crazy for these stories. The 'Dr. Oz' show featured the books just this week!"
