NEW YORK — New York City’s weekly TS party, Tranny Strip, will feature the first-ever custom designed TS float at NYC Gay Pride this Sunday, June 24.
Later that night, Tranny Strip will host "Egyptian Evolve Empire," an Egyptian themed party at Evolve Lounge in New York City’s Upper Eastside.
“The Heritage of Pride NYC Committee, my staff, and I are all very excited about having the first ever transsexual float in the NYC Gay Pride Parade,” Tranny Strip producer John Ed said. “I felt it was my duty to show the power of being a TS and give more exposure to the TS community. We hope to inspire and educate the millions that will watch our float go down Fifth Avenue. Some people forget that transsexuals are part of the LGBT community, so we wanted to make sure we were represented in the parade.”
The NYC Gay Pride Parade is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. on Sunday, June 24 at the intersection of 36th Street and 5th Avenue and then ending at Christopher and Greenwich Streets.
“Tranny Strip will also do the biggest NYC Pride after party celebration at Evolve Lounge,” Ed said. “We are going all out with our Egyptian-themed pride party. Be prepared to celebrate and be proud of who you are, gay, straight, bisexual, or transgender!”
