LOS ANGELES — The Free Speech Coalition and XBIZ on Wednesday announced plans to join forces for the first-ever FSC Summit Conference and Awards Show on Friday, Nov. 9, at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.
The FSC Summit will be a one-day conference for industry executives, lobbyists, business and legal experts who will provide information and insights on topics and issues most pertinent to the initiatives of the industry trade association.
The event is free to attend for FSC members and qualified industry professionals.
“We are very excited about the Summit,” said Diane Duke, executive director of the FSC. “It a great opportunity for the industry to come together — the Friday after the election — and review the political landscape as well as some very important adult industry issues and opportunities.”
The FSC Summit will feature six different educational seminars covering a diverse range of big-picture topics that will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a pre-awards show Happy Hour from 5 to 7:30 at The Sofitel. Then the awards program will be staged inside the Sofitel’s stylish Stone Rose Lounge.
The preliminary seminar schedule includes panel discussions on World Markets, Sex and Politics, Diversification, General Top-Level Domains (gTLD’s), Legal Issues, and Changing With the Times.
The FSC Award program will include special achievement honors in the following categories: Legacy Award, Woman of the Year, Man of the Year, Positive Image Male Performer, Positive Image Female Performer, Internet Company of the Year, Novelty Company of the Year and Production Company of the Year.
“We believe the issues the FSC addresses are unique to its mission,” said Alec Helmy, president and founder of XBIZ. “Because industry trade events cannot fully accommodate the organization's event objectives, we felt compelled to help the FSC establish its own event platform in order to gain full control over how it informs, educates and engages the industry it serves so passionately. This will be a must-attend event for all supporters of the FSC across the country.”
