LOS ANGELES — Metro Talent Management on Friday said it would not be booking its adult performers for any new scenes until they can each get a new STI test.
"In light of recent events involving an unnamed male adult performer allegedly performing while infected with syphilis, Metro Talent has announced that it has instructed its entire roster to cease performing until they can all be tested," the agency said.
Metro Talent's James added, "We feel very strongly about protecting the health of our performers and keeping the industry as a whole as safe as possible.
"It is important that we all act in a manner that will prevent the unnecessary spread of this or any other disease. Until we get all of our people in for new tests, they will not be working."
Manwin on Friday announced plans to postpone any new productions until performers can provide a clean test dated no earlier than Aug. 17. A handful of other content producers, including Kink.com and Kick Ass Pictures, on Friday also indicated they have temporarily stopped shooting while talent has a chance to re-test.
