SPAIN — Porn star and Evil Angel shooter Nacho Vidal was one of 60 arrested Tuesday morning when Spanish police raided Chinese mob affiliated money-laundering businesses in Madrid and Barcelona.
The stings come after a two-year investigation into hundreds of businesses suspected of running money-laundering and tax evasion rackets for the Chinese mob.
A Spanish National Court official said on Tuesday that Vidal was arrested for operating a company suspected of being a part of the money-laundering ring, reports the Associated Foreign Press.
The Spanish Interior Ministry issued the following statement explaining this morning's stings:
"The national police is carrying out a major operation against money-laundering and other crimes linked to criminal networks of Chinese origin in various provinces of Spain. About 60 people have already been detained and the arrests and searches are continuing."
The crackdown, which issued warrants for the arrest of 108 people and the search of 120 businesses, is reported to be the Spanish National Court's biggest to date.
