Erotic Audio Performer Oceania Joins RedLightCenter

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — The growing world of RedLightCenter, an adult-oriented virtual universe, has added erotic writer and voice talent Oceania, whose recently created avatar has become a regular performer at the site’s Century Theater.

For Oceania, who began her erotic audio career 10 years ago with the sale of her CD “Of Dreams and Bedtime Stories” to Playboy, an avatar — the game’s jargon for a virtual model — in RedLightCenter represents a chance to expand her fan base.

“My shows are kind of like performance art,” Oceania told XBIZ. “Some are a little more BDSM-oriented, while others are a little bit more porn. So far, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well they’ve been received. I’m definitely reaching people that didn’t know about me before.”

Oceania’s life-like avatar — a virtual character with red hair and brown eyes — is meant to be a fair representation of the woman behind the voice. She performs a five to eight-minute serial story. For now, the stories are pre-recorded, RedLightCenter and Oceania plan to create live shows soon.

In the meantime, RedLightCenter provides a link to Oceania’s content site, SensualWords.com, and if all goes well, she plans to open up a storefront within the virtual world.

While RedLightCenter offers Oceania a venue for greater notoriety and promotion, she believes that the online community also provides a forum for her to share her own take on online erotica.

“10 years ago, when I first got on the web, porn stars and hardcore pictures dominated,” Oceania said. “There was nothing that reflected my sensibilities, nothing that held any appeal for me. I had hope there were others like myself out there. So I created my first site, PeacockBlue.com. That’s why I’m particularly excited to appear on RedLightCenter.”

Although some of Oceania’s content may be porn-oriented, fans who drop by to see her shows shouldn’t expect the usual porn fare, she says.

“These aren’t the typical cliché-ridden tales of 38DD women who look 24 with eager mouths and gaping holes,” Oceania said. “These are sensual, erotic, audio sex stories that both men and women can enjoy, alone or with each other.”

Oceania’s first story, “Escapades in Blu,” premiered June 10. Her second serial, “She-erotica,” is slated to open June 25.

Oceania’s content company, Venetian Dreams offers content leasing and two affiliate programs for webmasters looking to promote her products.
