LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce plans for a special fundraiser show segment during the industry awards event of the year, the 2013 XBIZ Awards, presented by Fleshlight, on Friday, Jan. 11 in Los Angeles.
All proceeds from the fundraiser, which will be held on stage during the awards ceremony, will be split equally between the Free Speech Coalition (FSC), the adult industry trade group, and the Association of Site Advocating Child Protection (ASACP).
Moose, the vice president of Girlfriends Films, and Amnon, the owner of MetArt.com, will host the fundraiser segment.
ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning remarked, “ASACP is extremely grateful to XBIZ for staging this fundraiser as part of the black-tie 2013 XBIZ Awards ceremony. XBIZ is a founding sponsor of the association and providing us with this opportunity to raise awareness and funding among industry leaders is invaluable to ASACP.”
Diane Duke, CEO of FSC, added, “This is a fantastic opportunity for FSC and ASACP to reach out to the industry, especially as we come together to recognize our industry's best and brightest. A special thanks to [XBIZ founder and publisher Alec Helmy] and the folks at XBIZ for their generosity.”
Donations of $1,000 or more made by any company or individual during the XBIZ Awards fundraiser will be publicized in a post-show “Thank You” advertisement in XBIZ Premiere and XBIZ World magazines.
“What the FSC and ASACP do for our industry is invaluable,” said XBIZ’s Alec Helmy. “So it is both an honor and a privilege to be able to hold this fundraiser that benefits these two remarkable organizations as we host the industry elite at our crown jewel event of the year.”
The 2013 XBIZ Awards show will honor top achievements across every segment of the industry during the past year. With an expanded list of more than 160 award categories, the 2013 finalist nominees list represents the most expansive array of categories in the history of the XBIZ Awards.
Adult film superstar Tera Patrick will host the awards program, while Jessica Drake and Kirsten Price will welcome guests as the official red carpet hosts. Nikki Benz will host the backstage winner’s circle.
The most vibrant personalities and brightest stars from the world of adult entertainment have made the XBIZ Awards the most prestigious symbol of industry success. The annual event attracts A-list movers and shakers of the multibillion-dollar adult entertainment industry, generating buzz throughout the business and media.
This year’s gala will culminate an unprecedented series of six grand-slam industry events, dubbed XBIZ 360°, which gets underway on Jan. 9 in L.A.
