New Sensations Captures 10 XBIZ Awards

LOS ANGELES -- New Sensations took home an impressive 10 awards at the 2013 XBIZ Awards on Jan. 11, including the Studio of the Year honor.

In addition, the company won the XBIZ Awards for: All Sex Series of the Year ("Pretty Dirty"), Couples Themed Release of the Year ("Torn"), Couples Themed Line of the Year (The Romance Series), Director of the Year (Eddie Powell), Best Actor in a Feature (Steven St. Croix for "Torn"), Best Actress in a Couples Themed Release (Remy LaCroix for "Torn"), Best Actor in a Couples Themed Release (Richie Calhoun for "Love Marriage and Other Bad Ideas"), Best Actress All-Girls Release (Sheridan Love for "Against Her Will"), and Screenplay of the Year (Jacky St. James for "Torn").

Every Romance Series title the company released in 2012 garnered Editor's Choice recognition from XBIZ. Six of New Sensations' awards were for their Romance/Couples' titles, solidifying the company as a pioneering force in the modern-day romance genre.

Dan Miller, the executive managing editor for XBIZ, remarked, “New Sensations authored one of the strongest series of couples movies we’ve seen in years in 2012. Director Eddie Powell and writer Jacky St. James have a knack for getting the best out of theirs casts and crew, and it really shows in their productions. We congratulate New Sensations on their year.”

Yet New Sensations' acclaim extended well beyond just couples-oriented films, with awards in both All-Sex and Girl/Girl categories, as well.

“These awards are an incredible honor,” said New Sensations’ founder Scott Taylor. “I'm proud of the entire New Sensations team for their efforts in 2012 and am excited for the wonderful things we have in store for 2013. Thank you to XBIZ for recognizing the versatility of our studio by awarding us in so many categories. We couldn't be more thrilled."
