CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Veteran producer/director, Bobby Rinaldi, best known for introducing the cuckolding genre to porn with his signature “Screw My Wife Please,” series passed away in his sleep last Friday.
Rinaldi was 57 years old. The cause of death is still unknown.
The driving force behind Wildlife Productions (the successor to Tight Ends Productions where he began his adult career), Rinaldi was also a partner in Narra Distributors that markets NiteRider Pills male enhancement products.
Rinaldi's business partner for nearly 20 years, Romy Navarro, told XBIZ that he and Rinaldi were more like brothers than colleagues. “We both started at Video Central distribution that ultimately became Tight Ends Productions. I was the warehouse manager. When we decided to go into production we started Tight Ends and Bobby became the director,” Navarro said.
Rinaldi was described as “one of the nicest guys out there — a gentle giant,” by Navarro who noted that everyone who came in contact with him loved him, including his co-workers.
When the DVD market began to take a downturn, Navarro and Rinaldi became partners in NiteRider pills. Navarro said at the recent AEE convention in Las Vegas that Rinaldi was excited about the future of the company and that they both had big plans for the coming year.
Long-time friend Coach Eddie remembers Rinaldi to XBIZ. “Bobby was my closest friend and the only reason I know anyone in the adult industry. He gave me my start as a video cameraman. We worked together on hundreds of movies.
“On his sets, the girls were always treated with the utmost respect. Everyone loved working for, and with him. The three best words to describe him are: ‘honest, ethical and loyal.’”
In addition to the “Screw My Wife,” Rinaldi helmed a number of other film series including “My Favorite MILF,” “Teach Me How to Fuck,’ and “Girls Home Alone.”
Entertainment News owner Tony Batman said on his site, “I remember the first time I met Bobby Rinaldi. Eventually my wife and I appeared in ‘Screw My Wife #52’ along with Alex Sanders and Dave Cummings. Bobby was a good man and should have already been inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame. We predict he will be but we wish it would have been a year earlier.”
Maia Toys’ Mara Epstein knew Rinaldi from the early days of porn. “I met him in the old days buying laser discs for Laser Disc Entertainment. He was sweet, caring and genuine. A man of his word. All of his co-workers have been with him for years.”
Aside from his love of adult, Rinaldi held a passion for the New York Mets and New York Giants, according to Coach who said, “I miss him already.”
Navarro told XBIZ that a memorial is still in the works and he will announce plans when they become available. “It is a tremendous loss,” Navarro said.
