LOS ANGELES — Blue Circus Entertainment president Dick Chibbles has announced the release “Clown Porn: The Parody,” a special tribute movie for the late performer Hollie Stevens, the self-styled “Queen of Clown Porn.”
Each of the cast members in the movie donated their time to make the project, and all proceeds from the sales of the title will be donated to what Chibbles identified as a “direct impact” charitable foundation.
The movie, which was directed by Chibbles and will be distributed by Pulse Distribution, stars Nikki Daniels, Ron Jeremy, Daisy Layne, Britney Amber, Mika Tan, Syren DeMer, Alison Moore, Zoey Holloway, Jack Vegas, Redd Dyver, Helicopter Pete, Jaysin Shuttlecock, Dick Chibbles and more. The PG trailer can be seen here.
Chibbles said the DVD also includes a special one-hour tribute reel honoring Stevens. He considered Stevens “family,” adding that she was the maid of honor at his wedding.
“With the tribute, I tried to do it as tasteful and respectful as I could,” Chibbles told XBIZ. “She touched so many people it’s ridiculous. This is an inside look at who [Hollie] really was.”
The Stevens tribute includes outtakes from the original and unreleased “Clown Porn Crimewatch” as well as Chibbles' independent spaghetti western “Crackwood,” which starred Gilbert Gottfried and Lemmy Kilmiester (Motorhead). There are also numerous interviews with Stevens’ friends and co-workers.
“This is our way of saying 'thank you' for being part of our lives,” said Stevens’ close friend Daisy Layne.
In announcing the title, which hits the street on Monday, Chibbles said the project “isn’t really a parody, it’s more of a crazy look inside of the adult industry in a way that will surely leave you bewildered if that’s really the way it is on a set.”
“As a whole, the DVD isn’t just a somewhat out-of-control, psychiatric ward of a movie and tribute, but in fact an interactive party game that you play along with your friends,” he continued. “‘Clown Pong: The Party Game’ is five wild games that you subject your friends to, making dinner and a movie a little more than just cuddling on the couch. If you truly knew Hollie, then you already know that she always said she never liked watching porn alone and loved to find the most fucked-up movie and have a party with her friends.
“So we went just that one step further and brought the party to you. At times this movie was very hard to film without her there, especially the interviews with her friends, but we felt we had to immortalize her as the true 'Queen of Clown Porn.'”
Chibbles said he spent literally weeks researching a charity that would accept funds donated from a porn company. Once most of the charities found out where the funds would be coming from, Chibbles said he received feedback such as, “We don’t want your money. Sorry, we can’t associate ourselves with the porn business.”
“I guess it seems that the money from porn is a different color green, so the funds will be sent directly from [Hollie’s] family in which I am in close contact with,” Chibbles explained. “Hence, the reason why I am not naming the foundation at this time until after the donations have been made and the check(s) have already cleared their banks.”
Chibbles worked closely with Stevens’ brother to choose the one that he believed would be the most "direct impact" foundation with the least amount of administrative costs associated.
A native of Kansas City, Mo., born Tia Kidwell, Stevens entered the adult industry in 2003 and had starred in more than 170 adult films for just about every major production company before her passing on July 3 of last year after a battle with breast cancer.
