LOS ANGELES — MeanClips.com, a fetish video clip distributor, has announced that it now supports Bitcoin as a method of payment.
Bitcoin will be the alternative payment method, in addition to the more traditional credit and debit card payments.
The announcement on the MeanClips.com website lists several reasons for the adoption of Bitcoin.
“Bitcoin checkout process is easier and quicker than a credit card checkout, including a possibility for payment by phone or PC with only a few clicks and no requirement that the user enters their personal data such as the name and the address," the company said. "Bitcoin is a global currency, which opens up the market in countries where credit cards are not widely available, or which are not accepted by most credit card processors. Finally, depending on the implementation, there are either no or very low (99 percent) transaction fees.”
