MIAMI — Adult actresses Raven LeChance and Desi Dalton hosted a Pinko-De-Mayo party to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research last Saturday.
According to Forbidden Fruits Film co-owners and Pinko-De-Mayo collaborators, Jay and Jodi West, the idea was born when LeChance and Dalton decided to recast their original Cinco de Mayo party as the triple-entendre, pink-themed fundraiser in support of their friend who just finished chemo.
More than 40 couples (plus more singles) attended the swingers soiree and the party generated about $1,000 in charitable donations. Notable guests included adult performers Tripp Davenport, Levi Cash and Ralph Long.
Paying homage to the official color of breast cancer awareness, guests sported pink clothing, ate pink-frosted cookies and key west shrimp and drank pink cocktails.
According to Jodi West, the industry has a vested interest in breast cancer prevention and treatment: “Boobies are so important to all of us in the adult industry. Self breast exams — or those done by a friend or friends — help,” she said. “Jay and I have had several friends and family members who have been able to beat breast cancer through early detection. Breast cancer touches almost every life and it is so preventable.”
Pinko-De-Mayo will now be an annual event, Jodi West said.
