ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Taxi Cab Commission has banned cabbies from viewing porn in their cars after a woman complained about an incident involving an illicit video.
“It was all women in different situations touching themselves and, you know, nudity,” the woman, who asked to be identified as “Renee,” told CBS St. Louis. “There might have been a G-string but other than that, no clothes.”
Lou Hamilton, chairman of the cab commision, issued a “directors rule,” barring cab drivers from watching porn while on the job.
“Even without a passenger present in the car, they may not operate a video player or any kind of device that is playing pornographic or other objectionable material,” Hamilton told the local news station.
Upon further investigation, the chairman did not find evidence that the accused driver was watching porn, insisting instead that it was a music video.
Hamilton still believes that the situation amounted to a general breach of the company’s rules of good behavior and conduct.
Violation of the new ban will result in a $100 fine and possibly the loss of the driver’s license.
