Mike Vega Now Sole Owner of MobBucks

MELVILLE, N.Y. — MobBucks.com has a new don. The affiliate program was formerly co-owned by Mike Vega, Ray Vega and Tim Schmidt, but Mike has bought out the others’ stakes in the company to assume sole ownership.

“MobBucks had a great, successful launch and a great marketing campaign behind it,” Mike Vega told XBIZ. “The three of us have been working together for six years. We each have a particular way of getting things done, and in order for MobBucks to flourish like we all know it can, the best thing was to have one voice guiding the direction of the program going forward.”

While there was some recent conflict among the owners over where the program was headed, Mike Vega said the split was very amicable, and all three agreed he would be the most dedicated and involved owner to bring the program to new heights.

The only operational change for MobBucks is the support staff, which will be run by the SatanCash team, a second affiliate program that Mike Vega co-owns.

“I want to stress to all our affiliates that nothing will change for them,” Mike Vega said. “There might have been some initial confusion, but I want to put that to rest. The only change internally is that MobBucks and SatanCash will have the same operations crew, but they are completely separate programs and will be treated that way. The only common denominator is the support staff and myself. There are absolutely no plans for the programs to merge.”

SatanCash was a side project Mike Vega and his co-owner Pete-KT started in June, with an emphasis on goth, tattooed and pierced girls. Vega thinks the independent success of SatanCash gave him the leverage he needed with his MobBucks co-owners to trust him to purchase their stakes in the program.

Over the next few months, MobBucks will undergo a face-lift with the rollout of version 2.0, which includes new page designs and three to four new, exclusive sites ready to launch. Vega expects the first site to go live in 30 days.

One new feature that Vega was particularly proud of is a fully coded link list TGP. This gallery comes pre-scripted with the affiliate’s ID number encoded, and supplies them with fresh galleries that rotate every day.

“MobBucks will always be special to the three of us,” Mike Vega said. “But now I’m the Godfather.”
