LAS VEGAS — The masterminds behind PornStarTweet.com announced today the launch of their new adult crowdfunding website, FanFund.XXX.
Specifically designed for use within the industry, FanFund enlists the help of porn fans to finance projects ranging from personal appearances to big-budget productions.
Contributing fans have the option to donate to an existing campaign or collectively raise money with the goal of jump-starting a new project. Contributors are typically given rewards based on their monetary contributions.
"Like many startup companies, we have had some amazing ideas over the year but not the capital to develop them", said Pete Housley, CEO of Porn Star Tweet. "Adult entertainment has been swiftly 'shown the door’ in the crowdfunding arena because of the narrow-minded thinking of companies like Kickstarter. FanFund.XXX is designed to kick start newcomers or provide capital to industry veterans to expand and grow,”
FanFund.XXX is currently accepting campaign applications from established or would-be porn stars, directors, producers, toy manufacturers and production companies. Applications are free and include different options like "all or nothing" or "flexible" funding, allowing projects to get off the ground even if they miss their target by a small amount.
The site takes 7 percent of the money raised by fully funded projects, in addition to a 2.9 percent credit processing fee. "All or nothing" campaigns that fall short of their financial goal are not charged anything
To commemorate the kick-off, the first 10 approved campaigns that receive full funding will be only be charged a credit card processing fee.

Porn Star Tweet launched the first approved campaign "Restore the 1962 Porn Star Tweet Trailer" to renovate the company's vehicle and send it to adult conventions.
Also sourcing is Streamate cam model Paige Little’s campaign to expand her technical infrastructure to include a new HD multi-cam function.
Through tight integration with Porn Star Tweet and the other 16 sites in the NaughtyTweetNetwork, FanFund says it exposes projects to more than 750,000 porn consumers who follow the company on Twitter.
