ThriXXX Integrates Oculus Rift Into 3D Chat

INNSBRUCK, Austria — Sex-simulation software developer ThriXXX, announced today that it has integrated the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset into its soon-to-be released Chathouse3D real-time chat client software.

The company said its product, now in beta testing stage and set for release this year, is the first 3D chat client to utilize Oculus. It’s described as a peer-to-peer 3D chat client that lets adult only users socialize in private virtual spaces, virtually date, and engage in multi-player sexual role play fantasies while plugged into a "Matrix" or "Avatar" movie-like VR world.

In voyeur mode, participants in the chat worlds can enter stealth mode to spy, snoop and peep into others fantasies in a discrete manner, record action in first and third person modes, and create their own voyeuristic realty TV style POV porn from other people’s fantasies. Virtual voyeurs can watch consenting exhibitionist strangers, who are unaware they are being observed, and view in stereoscopic 3D others playing out their intimate fantasies in realistic detail.

Users can hide or unhide their presence in a room and experience public sex publicly or secretly. Thrixxx said tthe experience is like observing from a distance or getting up close and personal.

"The Oculus is fantastic new technology that lets users experience cybersex in entirely new ways,” Brad Abram, vice president of business development, said. "Decent ‘virtual reality’ sex experiences have been expensive and hard to create, but with Oculus augmented ‘hardcore gaming’ takes on a whole new meaning, and can be experienced by everyone.”

A demo video demonstrates the software’s “Voyeur Mode,” feature that utilizes the Oculus Rift Developers Kit.

Those interested in the beta test can sign up at Chathouse3d.com. Beta testers do not require Oculus to participate.
