'Caligula' Director Tinto Brass Eyeing Film About Ex-Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi

ROME — Italian erotica filmmaker Tinto Brass, who directed the Penthouse cult classic film “Caligula,” is eyeing a new movie about former Italian Prime Minister and self-proclaimed playboy Silvio Berlusconi.

Brass was at the Venice film festival at the screening of a documentary about his life, “Intintobrass.”

The director reportedly said the Internet has dumbed down porn with “senseless” content and he longs for the days of old school, well-crafted erotica.

Brass’s new idea for the Berlusconi flick would center on the notorious politico’s escorts and wild parties at his villa.

Berlusconi was found guilty last June for having sex with a 17 year-old hooker nicknamed "Ruby the Heart Stealer.”

With his “busty” muse Caterina Varzi at his side, Brass said, "I want to make a film about Berlusconi. I had in mind the title 'Thank you, Daddy.’”

The 80 year-old Brass, who has come back from a 2010 bout with a brain hemorrhage, also directed “Salon Kitty,” “The Key,” “Senso '45, and "All Ladies Do It,” a softcore take on Mozart's opera “Cosi Fan Tutte.”

Berlusconi was also featured in the fictional film “Redemption” at the Venice festival, directed by Portuguese director Miguel Gomes.
