HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — High-end adult store Sexually Evolved is opening its doors for the first time Thursday night with the help of Marcus London, Kiara Mia and the rest of the crew and cast tied to the pornified faux-reality show “Keeping Up With Kiara Mia,” who are sharing the event for the film’s pre-release party.
“It’s going to be quite an eye-opener down there on Hollywood Blvd,” said London of the store, which will be located on the iconic street between Highland and Vine.
“It’s actually very plush, it has a chandelier in there, with a bed and a piano. It’s really a very exclusive looking adult kind of store,” he said. The store specializes in upscale lingerie, novelties and adult videos.
London made contact with Sexually Evolved when looking for a non-set location resembling the Kardashian’s clothing store, DASH, heavily featured on their reality show, for Mia’s XXX parody. He knew his good friends were opening the adult boutique and made a deal to shoot there prior to its opening to engender a realistic atmosphere for the porn, complete with clothes, shelves, signs, etc.
The Grand Opening party, hosted by London, Mia and adult model/Sexually Evolved co-owner Emily Aleece, will feature an open bar, hors d’ oeuvres, burlesque dancers, stilt walkers, a DJ set by Helly Hellfire and the cast and crew of “The Kardashians XXX,” including Alison Moore, Yurizan Beltran, Veronica Avluv, Andy San Dimas, Lexington Steel, Flash Brown, John Johnson, Richie Calhoun, Seth Gamble and others. There may be aerialists, pending the ceiling-height requirements of the acrobats.
London, who produced “Keeping Up With Kiara Mia,” told XBIZ that he is mostly excited to screen a music video for Ray J’s “I Hit It First” he made to promote the XXX parody using the two main stars from the film, Mia (Kim Kardashian) and Johnson (Ray J).
“I think mine looks better than Ray J’s, but that’s because mine’s a little bit more interesting,” he said. “I mean it’s nonsexual in the respect that it’s friendly, you can watch it anywhere, but there seems to be better visuals than his. You see what’s in there and you wouldn’t assume that any of these people are porn stars, which is kind of the whole point.”
The director of last year’s “Spartacus MMXII” said he had never even seen Ray J’s video when he shot his own version, but likes the song and feels that the mainstream is the best avenue for promoting adult.
He will also be screening “The Kardashians XXX” never-before-seen trailer at the grand opening/film release event. The movie has not been released yet and will not be available for purchase at the event; London made a loose projection for a mid-October arrival.
Sexually Evolved is located on 6436 Hollywood Blvd. Doors will be open Thursday from 8:30-10:30 p.m., but the party will run until 2 a.m. Guests are encouraged to RSVP here, but it is not required for entry and all those over 21 are welcome to attend.
The store opens for its first day of business on Friday and will continue to host events and adult video signings, London said. Aleece and the store's co-owners plan to grow the shop with impending locations in New York and Las Vegas.
