LOS ANGELES -- Adult star Derrick Pierce received nomination in five categories for the 2014 XBIZ Awards, including Male Performer of the Year and Director of the Year - Feature Release.
Pierce has had a noteworthy year, directing Wicked's feature "Tuff Love" and starring in "Underworld" (Wicked), "Iron Man XXX: An Axel Braun Parody" and "Wolverine XXX: An Axel Braun Parody" (Vivid).
"I am thrilled with my nominations for the 2014 XBIZ Awards," Pierce said. "I'm really proud of the work I've done this year and I'm honored that the voters appreciate that."
"Tuff Love," which Pierce both directed and played a lead role in, earned nominations for Couples-Themed Release of the Year, Director of the Year - Feature Release, Best Actress in a Couples Themed Release (Adrianna Luna) and Best Actor in a Couples Themed Release. The film incorporates one of the actor's passions and puts a sexy spin on MMA.
Pierce also was recognized for his memorable scene in the "Underworld," collecting additional nominations for Best Supporting Actor and Best Scene in a Feature Movie. The film is also nominated for Feature Movie of the Year.
The 2014 XBIZ Awards is presented by Fleshlight; awards will be announced on Jan. 24 at a gala awards show hosted by Jenna Jameson at the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, Calif.
