Mile High Media Honored With 27 XBIZ Award Noms

MONTREAL — Canadian adult entertainment company Mile High Media has received 27 2014 XBIZ Awards nominations, the studio announced today.

Among the nominations are Studio of the Year, Director of the Year (James Avalon, Kevin Moore, Dana Vespoli), and Marketing Campaign of the Year for its social media tournament, Mile High Madness.

“Nomination time is always one of our favorite times of the year, as it allows us to truly reflect on the past twelve months and the impact we were able to make on the adult industry, critics, and fans,” Vice President Jon Blitt, said. “Thank you to XBIZ Media for the wide array of recognitions.”

The studio said much of its success comes from its directors including Director of the Year (Body of Work and Feature Release) nominee James Avalon —an exclusive director for Mile High, working primarily with Sweet Sinner and Sweetheart Video. Also noted are Dana Vespoli, who directs for Sweetheart Video, and Kevin Moore, who directs for Reality Junkies, who are also nominated for the Director of the Year – Body of Work awards. Reality Junkies director Bobby Manila earned a Director of the Year – Non-Feature Release nod for his work on “Filthy Family 10.”

“Congratulations to all of our directors on their multiple nominations,” Blitt added. “I am constantly impressed by their talent and commitment to upholding Mile High Media’s values and mission to create high-quality adult movies.”

Noted for its couples-friendly erotica, Mile High Media is up for 11 Couples-Themed nominations, including Couples-Themed Release of the Year, Best Actress-Couples-Themed Release, and Best Scene-Couples-Themed Release.

“We definitely derive extra pleasure in the 11 couples-themed nominations,” Blitt said. “We take pride in having helped launch the revolution of couples-friendly erotica, and the nominations prove we are still at the top of our game with movies like ‘Shades of Kink’ and ‘The Stepmother’ series.”

Hosted by adult film superstar Jenna Jameson, the XBIZ Awards ceremony will take place on Jan. 24 in Century City, Calif. amidst the XBIZ 360 event series.
