‘Saved by the Bell’ Star Selling Sex Tape

LOS ANGELES — While some celebrities shy away from the sex tape image, it seems Dustin Diamond, the actor who played uber-geek Samuel “Screech” Powers on TV’s “Saved by the Bell,” is banking on his rumored porn debut to break free of his type-cast image. An agent working on behalf of the actor is said to be shopping the tape around to a number of adult entertainment companies.

According to a report in the New York Daily News, Diamond, now 29 and looking to make it big as a standup comic, filmed a 40-minute sex tape with two women in what the paper called a “kinky three-way,” featuring a dirty sanchez.

Phoenix-based sex tape agent David Hans Schmidt is reportedly in Los Angeles shopping the tape to the likes of Vivid Video and Hustler. But another celebrity sex tape broker, known to be at the center of numerous high-profile celebrity sex tape scandals, told XBIZ that the Diamond tape is a stunt that won’t get the actor very far.

“There’s no market for male sex tapes,” the broker said. “If guys aren’t going to pay to watch Kid Rock and Colin Farrell, they won’t pay to see Screech.”

It’s unknown how Diamond got in contact with Schmidt, who is perhaps best known for his involvement in a rumored Paula Jones. He also brokered the tape for Olympic ice-skater-turned-bad-girl Tanya Harding.

Diamond’s manager, Roger Paul, said he was aware of the tape, but he had not seen it.

"I haven't seen the tape," Paul said. "I've heard rumors. Dustin has been trying to escape the Screech typecast. So this may help me get more bookings."

Diamond is slated to appear on the upcoming ABC sitcom “The Knights of Prosperity.”

Several years ago, in what the mainstream press called a bid to change his image, Diamond squared off against Ron Palillo, the actor who played Horshack on “Welcome Back, Kotter,” on Fox’s “Celebrity Boxing 2.”

Diamond, who holds a black belt in karate, won the fight.
